A dedicated real-time shopping app for households and small groups, spun out of RoomAid the same way Hellopost was. RoomAid proved the shared-list foundation; this takes the live shopping experience further as its own focused product.

Experience

Founder & Sole Engineer, RoomAid / Hellopost

Jun 2024 – Present · Portland (Remote)

Built RoomAid, a full-stack roommate coordination platform, owning product, system design, and infrastructure end-to-end (SwiftUI + TCA, Vapor, Docker, AWS). Shipped Hellopost, a lightweight status-update app built from the same shared modules and live on the App Store. Designed core systems including an RRULE-based scheduling engine, a custom calendar layout for overlapping events, and actor-based backend concurrency.

iOS Engineer, Citizen

Nov 2022 – Jun 2024 · Portland (Remote)

Integrated a Bluetooth safety device with the iOS app via Core Bluetooth, supporting real-time monitoring and emergency alert flows. Developed features across a large SwiftUI codebase built on The Composable Architecture, and built Swift macros to reduce boilerplate and streamline feature development.

iOS Engineer, DoorDash

Aug 2020 – Jan 2022 · Portland (Remote)

Built core shopping flows for Convenience & Grocery in the Dasher app, including item picking, barcode scanning, weighted items, and substitution handling. Led the rollout of a redesigned post-checkout substitution flow, and converted the order cart module to MVVM, eliminating race-condition bugs caused by mixed design patterns.

iOS Engineer, Raya

Aug 2017 – Aug 2020 · Los Angeles

Initiated and led the migration of the codebase from Objective-C to Swift. Built and maintained a live map view with dynamic tray interactions and heavy state, and implemented a custom waterfall-layout photo picker that supported fast scrolling without frame drops.

I'm an iOS developer with almost a decade of experience shipping consumer apps, from safety-critical Bluetooth features at Citizen to core shopping flows at DoorDash and the Objective-C-to-Swift migration at Raya. Since 2024 I've been the founder and sole engineer of RoomAid, a roommate-coordination platform, where I own everything end-to-end: product, system design, and infrastructure. Hellopost, built on the same foundation, is live on the App Store.
