Group shopping app

In early development, building in public.

A dedicated real-time shopping app for households and small groups, spun out of RoomAid the same way Hellopost was. RoomAid proved the shared-list foundation; this takes the live shopping experience further as its own focused product.

Why build it

RoomAid already runs live, shared lists across a household. Every time I watched people use them, the same pattern showed up: the shopping run is its own moment, with its own needs. Who is heading to the store, who already grabbed the milk, what is still open on the list. That deserves a focused app rather than a tab inside a broader tool.

What makes it different

The shared-list and real-time sync foundation is proven, so the work here is about the shopping experience itself: live sessions where the whole group can see who is at the store, claim items as they go, and keep the list honest in the moment. No more duplicate cartons of eggs.

Building in public

I am documenting this one as it comes together, from architecture decisions to TestFlight. If you want a front-row seat, or you run a household or small team that would put it through its paces, get on the list below and I will loop you into the beta.
